Meadowsweet

Beautiful sprays of white blooms, this delicate herb is a lovely addition to the landscape. The leaves and flowers of this plant are high in salicylic acid. It has been used as a pain reliever for muscle aches and as an anti-inflammatory. Meadowsweet is also used to treat gout, rheumatism and arthritis. Sweet little plant forms a pretty rosette before flowering the second year. Enjoys plenty of moisture and a bit of shade in hot summer climates. Full to Partial sun. Perennial. Hardy to zones 3-8.
