Description
Red veined Dock or Blood wort. Native to the British Isles with striking leaves colored by bright maroon veins. Young leaves make a delicious and interesting salad green. Can also be used like spinach, cooked or raw. Medicinally used for cancer and diseases of the circulatory system. An unusual addition to the herb garden. Perennial and easy to grow. Hardy to zones 4-8.
