Description
This hardy herb hails from Europe and naturalizes easily in the garden. Pretty scalloped leaves form a rosette giving rise to the 2 foot tall clusters of blooms resembling mini daisies. Research has shown that ingesting 3 to 4 leaves per day can be extremely effective in preventing migraines in some people. In addition it has shown some pleasant side effects including a sense of well being, a lack of tension and relief from arthritis. Used externally for insect bites, it was historically planted near homes to keep disease at bay. Sweet garden plant that is easy to grow. Attracts beneficial insects and blooms most of the summer. Prefers full sun and quite drought tolerant. Perennial. Hardy to zone 5.
