Garlic Chives

Beautiful medicinal food plant Garlic Chives provide delicious flavorful greenery eventually blooming at 2 feet tall with very showy white flowers much loved by bees and other pollinators. They are used in Chinese medicine to warm the kidneys and stomach. They are also used to treat urinary incontinence, impotence, sore lower back and knees. They make an excellent container plant and interplanted with roses can deter aphids. Prefer full to partial sun and a richer, well-drained garden soil. Perennial hardy to zones 3-9.
