Horseradish

A treasured medicinal food plant. The root is grated and preserved in vinegar as a spicy condiment. Traditionally used in Chinese, European and American food. It has a strong effect on the respiratory system, clearing the sinuses and increasing phlegm production. Multiplies readily and will create a large patch if left unchecked. Prefers a fertile garden location and full sun or part shade. Perennial Hardy to zone 3.
