Description
Hyssop Leaf Skullcap
Native to the east coast, this beautiful plant is endangered in New York and Connecticut and can be found throughout the Eastern and Southern States. I am a huge skullcap fan and when I saw the bloom on this one I was very impressed. The plant has a very showy Blue/purple flower on delicate stems that grow to a couple of feet tall. This Skullcap has been used traditionally as a nervine and relaxant for menstrual cramps and general anxiety. It prefers a dappled shady spot with reasonable moisture to thrive. A stunning addition to any herbal garden! Hardy Perennial Hardy to Zone 3-8
