Description
A moisture loving tropical perennial that is almost an aquatic plant and is native to Eastern India. It is a greatly respected memory enhancing herb, nerve, and cardiac tonic. Used in India for nervous breakdown, epilepsy and insanity. The fresh juice can help with respiratory conditions, usually used fresh or in a tea. Brahmi is a succulent leaved, fast growing, creeping herb, which likes moist, humid areas and partial shade. Easy to grow in pots with delicate little white flowers. Not hardy. Will over winter in greenhouse or as house plant. Tender Annual Zones 8-11
